Rocna anchor stowage

Has anyone else found a way to stow a Rocna Vulcan anchor without putting holes in the gelcoat around the bow rollers on retrieval??

I've thought of S/S protective plating as a cover for the top part of the gelcoat at the front of the boat and considered (and more or less rejected) the idea of a bow roller extension.

Any ideas? I could just be very careful on retrieval of the anchor, but when in bumpy conditions this is tricky, especially single handed.

Any thoughts welcome.
