Re: fuel tank
From Graham Wilson Southern Breeze I have lifted the top of the fuel tank. To do this I unscrewed all the threaded bolts around the edge, carefully using an impact driver on the more stubborn ones. I had to pull the lid off using a double purchase (like the kicking strap) attached to the boom above ...

Re: Mast boot
I made my own to match the spray hood material, following published patterns to fit the mast and the deck aperture. Looks a million dollars.

Drain tap on diesel tank
Does anyone know if the drain tap can be easily unscrewed from the glass fibre tank? Is there some internal nut that will drop off? or is the tap threaded into the tank wall itself? All I want to do is to remove the tap, clean it and replace.

Starboard cockpit Locker contents

Helpful to hear your comments about the Sboard locker, in which I have packed a can of water insoluble grease, 500ml of lamp oil, and some Karcher deck washer detergent. Despite sealing st...

Working on the boat
A lovely day for working on Southern Breeze in Dublin today. Pumped some black slimy sludge out of the bottom of the diesel tank, and sanded down the cabin table followed by one coat of satin international. Does anyone know how to keep the starboard cockpit gas locker dry? and what do you store in i...
